A Social Media Officer is a digital team member in our creative department. He has to have the ability, including marketing knowledge, communication skills, digital marketing, and social media basics. Your duties include managing our brands; social media accounts and regularly collaborating with colleagues across the digital team to ensure the content aligns with strategic priorities.


As the Social Media Officer, you should be motivated to respond to our consumers, solve their problems, and give them the best possible experience. You will work on social media research (practices and trends), analytics, comprehensive reporting, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting comments and conversations on accounts and external social media sites.


As the Social Media Officer, you will work closely with the creative lead to increase brand awareness by choosing creative and innovative ideas for campaigns, and content, at each stage of digital marketing.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and delivery of the social media content marketing plan.
  • Publish content across approved social media brand outposts (e.g. copy/articles, photography, video, etc.)
  • Develop content suitable for social media channels to fully engage students and other audiences.
  • Lead daily community management across all central brand social media outposts (inc. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and LinkedIn).
  • Lead the content calendar process (inc. approvals), raising brand awareness and increasing data capture and engagement levels across all activities.
  • Lead the generation/creation/placement of engaging, creative, and informative organic content across all central brand social media outposts which inform, entertain, and delight audiences with brand-focused messaging.
  • Optimize content for each distinct channel (whether the content is written, photography, video, or testimonial-led), taking into account changing platform/audience requirements.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand (working across all channels) while appropriately managing customer expectations.
  • Ensure content has a high visual and influential impact and meets relevant corporate guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing research (as needed) to identify audience needs/desires/satisfaction.
  • Lead content gathering/placement at identified events (e.g. testing campaign, toys activities, etc.).
  • Use Google Analytics and other data sources to assess the impact efficiency of social media activity.
  • Assist the Creative Lead in the creation/improvement of vendors' reports.
  • Assist the Creative Lead in the development of the Content Strategy.
  • Reports key competitor activity.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a social media officer or a similar role.
  • Experience in creating social media strategies.
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English.
